Hi! My name is Alia Munley, born and raised in the midwest. I feel most myself when I'm with my dog and my dude, in the sunshine- probably drinking some oj. I am always planning the next adventure whether that's camping locally or a cross country road trip.
I graduated from Goshen College in 2015 with a degree in Art Education and Peace, Justice, and Conflict Studies. I concentrated in watercolor painting but enjoy learning all media. Most recently I've been teaching high school art classes full time at Elkhart Memorial High School. I love teaching art because I get to assist others in finding their passion or "spark."
My artwork is usually inspired by snip-its of my outdoor adventures, travels, or the houseplants I tend to "love to death." Most recently I've started a series of cloudscape watercolor paintings based off of the big midwest sky, in hopes I can quickly capture the colors and movements within the clouds. Plus I've always thought a nap in the clouds would be wonderful.
Please don't hesitate reaching out! I love working on creative projects for others whether that's custom wedding invites, large wall installations, or an opportunity to share my love of art.
